Email brand to various re police training plan

As I have previously advised, I don't mind where they come from as long as they get here ASAP. The JCC is now being seen by the military as the only current solution to the problem of soldiers shooting Iraqi police officers because of a lack of awareness of deployments. I am being asked questions by the military about the arrival of this very important component. They have everything in place, and have delivered the space, the soldiers, the accomodation and the technology. I made my original request for staff in my report of the 10th August, 6 weeks ago If there are constables and sergeants ready to go from MDP can they not be made available in the short term? If we are only just thinking about approaching the PSNI it may be weeks or months before the officers are able to travel and we would lose all credibility with the American military if it is that time frame. To remind you, this was our idea, hard fought on the basis that this would provide a significant step towards transition from military to police primacy. The commanding general wants to promulgate the system around the country if it works, but we won't know that until the civil police element is in place. I urge you to act swiftly on this and not to delay any longer.
