For Immediate Release Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Launches New Website Baghdad, Iraq 6 May 2004, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the launch of its new official website at: http://www.iraqmofa.net The site will be a valuable source of information on: - Iraq's new foreign policy to rehabilitate Iraq into the international community; - Iraq's relations with international organizations; - Our strategy and progress on reforming and modernising the Ministry; - The new principles and values of the ministry; - Consular Services; - Iraq's missions abroad. The website will also feature regular updated news on internal developments and activities abroad, based on the principles of transparency and public accountability. H.E. Hoshyar Zebari, Minister of Foreign Affairs, said "the launch of the website is a key part of our strategy to promote the new Iraq on the world stage, communicate our foreign policy objectives and outline our strategy to meet the challenges and responsibilities we face, as the voice of the new Iraq, to return our country to its rightful place as a strategic and important member of the international community".
