2 August 2003 PR No. 25 TRANSFER OF UDAY AND QUSAY’S BODIES The Coalition Provisional Authority today handed over the bodies of Uday and Qusay Saddam Hussein to the Medical Legal Institute (MLI) of the Iraqi Ministry of Health. Once the MLI had issued the death certificates and taken other measures as required under Iraqi law, the MLI requested the CPA to facilitate the transfer of the bodies to Tikrit, where the Iraqi Red Crescent Society had arranged to receive the bodies for burial. The Iraqi Red Crescent took possession of the bodies at approximately 11.30 this morning. The body of Mustapha Qusay Hussein was also transferred in the same manner. ENDS
