BAGHDAD, IRAQ
PUBLIC NOTICE
SAFEGUARDING IRAQ's BORDERS June 26, 2003 The Administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) hereby advises all citizens, residents of, and visitors to Iraq that the CPA has issued an Order establishing border policies that control entry into and departures from Iraq. The policies normalize travel to and from Iraq, consistent with the CPA's obligation to ensure security and civil order throughout the country.

The "H" series passports remain valid according to their stated terms. Certain individuals may be denied entry into Iraq in order to preserve public security and safety, including persons who are suffering from serious communicable disease, cannot support themselves, or are associated with criminal activity, including terrorism All persons have the right to exit from Iraq if they possess necessary travel documents, unless they are senior members of the Ba' ath Party; are suspected of serious crimes; are linked to terrorist organizations or acts, or are suspected of involvement with weapons of mass destruction.
