The meeting was chaired by Dr. Mohammed A. Hamoud, Head of Legal Dept. MF A. Also present were Mr. Salah Abdulsalam, Head of Consular Dept., MFA and representatives from the Ministry of Interior, Health, Awqaf, and Tourism Board. The members of the meeting discussed various issues related to setting an effective mechanism for the supervision and management of Hajj as well as the points to be discussed between the Iraqi delegation and the Saudi side, and agreed as follows: 1. A review was made to the previous minutes of meeting and amendments were made thereon. 2. The Committee decided to add Mr. Gat'I A. AbduJrida, Head of Administrative and Finance Dept at the Awqaf as an accountant to the delegation to cover relevant requirements of the delegation. 3. The Committee decided the addition of selecting an appropriate headquarters of the Iraqi Hajj mission in S. Arabia for the duration of the hajj, as another task for the delegation. 4. The Committee approved the alteration of the pilgrims passport to black color. 5. The Committee approved the addition of the Saudi side query on the model of the vehicles to be permitted into Saudi territory, as another task of the delegation. 6. The Committee authorized Mr. Sabah N Khalil to submit an inventory of the buses available with the Iraqi Ministry of Transport. 7. A committee under the supervision of Mr. Adnan Jawad is to be formed to conclude contracts with foreign transporting companies in coordination with the Ministry of Transport. 8. The Committee decided to form a committee to interview and approve transport contractors (hamladaris); the members are Mr. Adnan Jawad, Dr. Waleed Abdulgaffar, Colone] Hashim Ni'ma Idris, Dr. Raouf Alansari, and someone to be selected by Dr. Adnan M. Salman. 9. An announcement is to be made immediately for those wishing to perform the hajj to register their names with the A w1af offices in all Governorates. The deadline of applications is 81 December, and a draw (lottery) would be carried out on l 0th December for their selection. l 0. The Committee emphasized the discussion and negotiation with the Saudi side of all those issues related to visas, accommodation, buildings, tents, security, vehicles and food for the pilgrims by the Delegation. 11. A joint security committee from the MOI, Awqaf and CPA shall be formed to discuss security and safety issues of pilgrims. 12. The next meeting was scheduled for Thursday 271 h at the MFA.
