What to include in your request

  1. Your full name.
  2. Your institution or capacity (university, research centre, organisation, or family member).
  3. The purpose of the request.
  4. The documents or data you need, with their IDs (for example GOV-…), or “the data room”.
  5. For researchers: how you will store the data and when the research ends.

For families

If you are looking for a relative whose name may appear in the 2004 lists, write their full name as it used to be written, your relationship to them, and anything that helps tell them apart. We answer privately. The lists are unverified, and the absence of a name proves nothing.
