Answer: • In assembling our team of ministry advisors, we drew on an extremely wide talent pool. • Goal was to locate people of the highest caliber to devote their professional energie to this vital task for a limited period of time. • Resulting team consists of coalition members as well as prominent U.S. figures representing a broad range of government agencies and the private sector. • The team is genuinely bi-partisan. Question: Who is the liaison to the Oil Ministry? How will that organization be run? Answer: • Our guiding principle is that Iraqi oil resources belong to the Iraqi people, so the Oi Ministry and the country's oil resources will be run and operated by Iraqis. • We are still working out the details of how the Iraqi Oil Ministry will be organized and function. To the maximum extent feasible, and compatible with the Coalition' responsibilities for the well-being of the Iraqi people, the oil industry will be run b Iraqis.
