This inter-Agency Task Force will last for approximately 12 months, and will fall under the purview of the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (Policy). The President of the United States has made clear that the United States. will use force to disarm Iraq in a very short · period of time. Additionally, the President has stat'ed the U.S. Government's intention to rebuild the · infrastructure and government of Iraq after the current Iraqi leadership has been dislodged from power. To support post-war Iraq reconstruction and humanitarian assistance, time is of the essence for critical planning.
